Leberkäse, also known as Fleischkäse, is a traditional German-Austrian baked meat loaf made from finely minced pork, bacon and onions and baked until a golden crust forms. The result is a smooth, sliceable texture with a mild, savoury flavour.
Traditionally served warm in 1cm thick pieces with fried eggs or mustard in a bread roll. It can also be prepared as thin slices for sandwiches.
